BIO:

Dylan Marx is a composer, artist, and performer, working primarily in Los Angeles and New York. His work explores found sounds, synthesis, and electro acoustic construction. He’s written and produced multiple albums, scored and designed sound for several films and dance pieces and has had music placed on major television networks, including MTV. He’s created numerous sound installations, receiving the Translocality award from Gray Area to create an immersive work in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. He also plays as a session and touring musician, along both the west and east coast. His music has been released by Anxiety Blanket and Hwangjoga Records, with additional representation by Marmoset. He holds a BFA in Music from UC Santa Cruz, as well as an MFA in Experimental Sound Practices with a concentration in Integrated Media from California Institute of the Arts, where he’s taught courses on music and sound production. Films he’s scored have been shown at IFFI in Goa, EXiS in Seoul, and Raindance in London. Dance and theater pieces he’s scored have been performed at Human Resources (LA), Judson Church (NY), The Elysian (LA), REDCAT Roy & Edna Disney Calarts Theater, Automata, MAX Machina at MITU580 (NY), Boan 3 (Seoul), Life World (NY), and more.
